Programming a Dish Network remote takes about 30 minutes if you are programming it for a receiver, TV, VCR or DVD. The remote can be set up to control all these electronics so you only need one remote for everything. To program the remote, you will need the user manual for the codes; if your make and model is not listed, you will have to find the source code manually. The programming is relatively easy.
