The National Donor Deferral Registry (NDDR) is a database that stores the names and information of North American blood plasma donors that have been given a status of "permanently deferred" when it comes to plasma donation. The database is a self-regulation move made by the plasma collection industry to protect recipients of donated plasma from receiving plasma that is infected with Hepatitis B, C or HIV 1 or 2. The NDDR was established in 1993 and can be accessed online by all plasma donation
